Strong Acid

A strong acid is an acid that ionises completely in water to produce a high concentration of  hydrogen ions (H+cations or protons).

Examples of strong acids include

o    hydrochloric acid HCl
o    nitric acid HNO3
o    sulphuric acid H2SO4
