Tasmanian Tiger
The Tasmanian tiger got its name from the island state of Tasmania
in Australia. The last living Tasmanian tiger was recorded in
Hobart, the capital of the state. The scientific name of this
extinct animal
is thylacine. This wolf-like, pouch-bearing
mammal
had
stripes on its body. In the 19th century / early
20th century, European settlers drove these creatures to
extinction in Tasmania because of their greed for profit. They
wiped out the thylacines (numbered in the thousands) to protect
their sheep.

Harimau Tasmania
Harimau Tasmania
kurun ke-19 / awal kurun ke-20, peneroka-peneroka Eropah menyebabkan
