Coffee 咖啡 kā fēi is reputed to be the most popular beverage 饮料 yǐn liào in the world. It has been reported that almost half a trillion (more than 400 billion i.e. 400,000,000,000) cups are drunk every year. The cup or glass of coffee originates from the beans (see A Brief History of Coffee) of the flowering plant 显 花植物 xiǎn huā zhí wù called Coffea. There are many species 种类 zhǒng lèi of coffea. However, the two species 种 类 zhǒng lèi widely grown for commercial purposes are C. Arabica (Arabica) and C. Canephora (Robusta).

Coffee beans 咖啡豆 kā fēi dòu are a source for caffeine 咖 啡因 kā fēi yīn . Caffeine 咖 啡因 kā fēi yīn is used in pharmaceutical drugs, drinks (Coca-Cola 可 口可乐 kě kǒu kě lè) and cosmetics 化 妆品 huà zhuāng pǐn.

Kopi 咖 啡 kā fēi  dikatakan minuman terkenal di dunia. Telah dilaporkan bahawa hampir setengah trilion (lebih daripada 400 bilion, bersamaan 400,000,000,000) cawan kopi 咖 啡 kā fēi diminum setiap tahun. Minuman kopi 咖 啡 kā fēi berasal daripada kacang tumbuhan yang bernama Coffea. Terdapat banyak spesis coffea. Akan tetapi, hanya dua spesis sahaja yang paling banyak ditanam untuk tujuan komersial: C. Arabica (Arabica) dan C. Canephora (Robusta).
