Robusta (Coffee)

A type of coffee (species: C. Canephora) grown for commercial purposes, usually to be made into instant coffee. Robusta coffee plants thrive well (robustly) and are comparatively quite easy to cultivate. However, coffee drinkers / enthusiasts and certain industries consider Robusta to be "low quality". The other main type of coffee is the Arabica which is deemed to be "more valuable". Some instant coffee producers today (like Nescafe) blend both Robusta and Arabica.

Vietnam is a major producer of Robusta.

Robusta merupakan sejenis kopi (spesis: C. Canephora) yang ditanam dengan tujuan utama membuat kopi segera. Pohon Robusta lebih mudah tumbuh dan lasak. Akan tetapi, sesetengah penggemar kopi dan sebahagian industri minuman menganggap kopi Robusta sebagai "kurang bermutu". Satu jenis kopi lain ialah Arabica yang dikatakan "lebih berharga". Sesetengah pengeluar kopi segera (seperti Nescafe) mencampurkan / mengadunkan kedua jenis kopi Robusta dan Arabica dalam produk mereka.

Negara Vietnam merupakan salah satu pengeluar kopi Robusta terutama di dunia.
