Some claim Kata Beach 卡塔海滩 to be the most beautiful on the island of Phuket 普吉岛. Like Patong 巴东海滩, it lies on the west coast of the island 岛 and it faces the Andaman Sea 安达曼海. The resorts along the beach are popular and highly sought after.

One has to spare about an hour on the road to get from Phuket Town (also commonly called Phuket Old Town) to Kata 卡塔海滩.
