Muzium Jabatan Hal Ehwal Orang Asli
This
interesting and educational museum
is located at KM24,
Jalan Pahang,
Gombak, 53100
Kuala Lumpur. The objective of this museum
is to preserve the culture and heritage of the indigenous
peoples of Peninsula Malaysia. The idea of the museum
was initiated by Dr. Baharon Azhar Bin Raffie’i, the former
(and fourth) Director-General of Jabatan Kemajuan Orang Asli
(JAKOA) (translation: Department of the Development of
Indigenous Peoples). The museumwas officially opened by the former prime
ministerof Malaysia,
Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in September of 1987.
