Thus, they are warm-blooded 热血 rè xuè (homeothermic) and
furry. They also give birth to their young. Dogs 狗 gǒu
are closely related to wolves 狼 láng and come in a huge
variety of breeds; among them are the dalmatian, collie, spaniel
and doberman.
Humans have been keeping dogs 狗
gǒu as pets for over 40,000 years. To
many dog owners, their relationship with their dogs 狗 gǒu seems
almost human. A real emotional bond exists between man and
animal. Some pet owners even believe that there are health
benefits to having a canine companion that go beyond walking
and playing with them.
