In broad terms, these scripts include the 甲骨文 oracle bone inscriptions and the 金文 bronze inscriptions which were largely used before the 秦朝 Qin Dynasty.
Beginning 221 BCE, the 大篆 Great / Large Seal scripts were unified and became the 小篆 Small Seal Script (also known as the 秦篆 Qin Seal Script). The person credited for the integration is 丞相李斯 Prime Minister Li Si. The unification was part of his implementation of the 书同文，车同轨 "same script for books and the same track for carts" policy.
