Kinaesthetic Sense
The word kinesthetic is a combination of the prefix "kine" - which is related to movement and "aesthetics" - which has the meaning of "sensitivity" especially to beauty.
Hence kinesthetic sense detects body (muscles, tendons and joints) movement and also body position.
The receptors for this sense are known as proprioceptors.
