This is the cooperation among the countries situated along the Mekong River. The countries are

The name of this grouping is also derived from the upper part of the Mekong River in the provinces of Qinghai and Yunnan - the Lancang River (澜沧江 lán cāng jiāng). The goal of the Lancang Mekong Cooperation is to promote the development of the participating nations.
