Grassroots / Grass roots
This word is usually used as a noun to describe the common people. Grassroots are the people who are not at the centre or upper levels of a government, organisation or movement.
However, the word "grassroots" is also be used in the adjective form. For example, "China's 13th Five-Year Plan takes grassroots wisdom into consideration."
Gerakan
akar umbi (akar rumput) bermaksud gerakan rakyat bawah; yakni
rakyat yang bukan dalam golongan atas kerajaan, organisasi atau
sesuatu gerakan.
