Non-luminous Flame
A non-luminous flame
does not give out a lot of visible bright. It is usually described
as a blue flame. A non-luminous flame is produced when the burning
of the fuel is complete. For example, when the air hole of
the Bunsen burner is open, there is enough oxygen
to feed the complete combustion of the fuel (gas) in the
barrel. The result is a flame that produces a smaller
percentage of soot (carbon)
and one that is hotter.
