Reflection

incident angle, i =
reflected angle, r
Light
光 guāng
travels in a straight line 直线 zhí xiàn. When it hits a
surface, it bounces off the surface. If the surface is
polished until flat and smooth 平
坦而光滑 píng tǎn ér guāng huá, the ray
of light 光射线 guāng
shè xiàn bounces off at the same angle
it arrives.
The ray of light that reaches the surface is called the
incident ray.
The ray of light that bounces off the surface is called
the reflected ray.
The Law of Reflection states that
"the
angle of incidence, i, is equal to the angle of
reflection, r".
The equation is simply,
i
= r.
