Light travels in a straight line. When it hits a surface, it bounces off the surface. If the surface is polished until flat and shiny, the ray of light bounces off at the same angle it arrives. The ray of light that reaches the surface is called the incident ray. The ray of light that bounces off the surface is called the reflected ray.
The Law of Reflection states that "the angle of incidence, i, is equal to the angle of reflection, r".
The equation is simply,

permukaan dikenali
sebagai sinar tuju. Alur cahaya yang dipantulkan
dari permukaan
dipanggil sinar pantulan.
Hukum Pantulan menyatakan bahawa "sudut tuju adalah sama dengan sudut pantulan".
