Many are pleased when we find a
solution to a problem. However, we can go further and
evaluate the solution that we have come up with.
Among others, a solution to a problem (or challenge)
can be evaluated based on the following criteria:
* efficiency of arriving at the
solution and the efficiency of the solution itself
(efficiency can be thought of as the output that we
get in relation to the amount of resources that are
put in)
* effectiveness of the solution (to
what degree of the problem does it solve)
* ease of use
* cost effectiveness (how much it
costs to come up the solution and how much it costs to
apply the solution)
* appropriateness of the solution -
in consideration of its users
* reliability of the solution (does
it give the same results over time?)
