Ipoh
Derived from: a tree named Ipoh
Origin:
Old name for the town (city today) was
Paloh - which means pool of still waters. Dams were built along the
Kinta River that flows through Ipoh. Due to these structures, pools were
formed and they became popular fishing spots.

o Steam
chicken and bean sprouts
o Cave temples
o Tin mines (in the past)
