There's
a phrase in Buddhism, "Beginner's mind". It's wonderful to have
a beginner's mind.
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's
life. Be(ing)
trapped in dogma - which is living with the results of
other people's thinking.
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only
way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.
And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you
haven't found it yet, keep looking, and don't settle.
As with all matters of the heart, you will know when you find it.
Death is very likely the single best invention of life. It's life
change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.
You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect
them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will
somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something —
your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never
let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.
We're here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise, why else even
be here?
