Proclamation of Independence Memorial

Previously known as Melaka Club, the building now commemorates the moment when Malaysia's first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman proclaimed the country's independence Padang Pahlawan in 1957. Today, the building acts as a museum, displaying articles, pictures, official attires and even cars used
during the proclamation of independence of 1957. There are various exhibits, in the form of relics, manuscripts, video tapes, film and slide shows. For history lovers, this is a perfect place to gain more valuable knowledge.
