冬天 dōng tiān ; 夏天xià tiān
One sees the character "夂 zhǐ" (to walk slowly) in both 冬天 dōng tiān and 夏天 xià tiān.
One can imagine walking slowly on ice 冫bīng (the "ice" radical) during winter 冬天 dōng tiān.
One can imagine walking slowly by one 一 yī self 自zì enjoying summer 夏天 xià tiān.
It is also interesting to note that the character 夂 zhǐ is in opposite positions in 冬 dōng and 夏 xià.
Also the Xia Dynasty 夏 朝 xià cháo is deemed the first Chinese dynasty.
