虚 拟现实xū nǐ xiàn shí
Virtual Reality or
VR 虚拟现实 xū nǐ xiàn shí refers to the environment and /
or images that a user immerses herself / himself in. Once in the
VR environment, the user interacts with computer generated objects
and characters in the virtual environment. The experience would
seem physically real for the user. A
number of electronic gadgets or devices have been developed to
help users engage themselves in a computer generated environment.
Among them are
߷ VR head gear/helmet or head mounted display (HMD)
߷ VR goggles
߷ gloves fitted with sensors or data gloves
߷ motion tracking controllers.
The word "virtual" is the antonym of "real".
