This term crowdsourcing 众包 zhòng bāo (or 群众外包 qún zhòng wài bāo) refers to the
→ acquisition of information 信息 xìn xī from, and/or
→ delegation of tasks to,
a large group of people, i.e. the public.
The input provided by the public is usually done without financial returns.
