Sejarah
The
Malay
word "Sejarah" means History. It originates from the Arabic word "syajaratun". The Arabic word
has the meaning of tree, origin, genealogy, life history and / or
biography. Sejarah or History can be simply defined as the study
of past events - especially those related to human affairs.
Perkataan Melayu "Sejarah" berasal daripada perkataan Arab "syajaratun". Perkataan ini membawa maksud berikut:
o pohon / pokok
o permulaan / asal usul
o geneaologi / salasilah
o riwayat hidup
Secara ringkas, sejarah boleh ditakrifkan sebagai pengkajian peristiwa-peristiwa yang telah berlalu - khususnya peristiwa yang berkenaan dengan manusia.
