According to the introduction of the book 书 shū shown above, published by CTPS-China in 2012,

"The first Insight Guide pioneered the use of creative full-colour photography in the travel guides in 1970."

Although the book 书 shū is dated, the photographs are a delight to look at and the geographical 地理, historical 历 史 and architectural 建筑学 information is still rich and relevant.
