
Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal. It
is reported to have over 1 million dwellers. The neigbouring countries
of Nepal are Tibet, Bhutan and India. Nepal is famous as three quarters
of its land is covered by the Himalayan mountains.
Kathmandu and many parts of Nepal were struck by earthquakes on 25 April
and 12 May 2015. The photo above shows one of the UNESCO
World Heritage Sites, Durbar Square, before many of the buildings there
and in many other places in Kathmandu collapsed due to the quake. A
major part of the population of Kathmandu (and Nepal as a whole) was
affected by the natural disaster.

Nepal Rupees (NPR).

daripada jumlah luas kawasannya diliputi Banjaran Himalaya.
Kathmandu dan banyak kawasan di Nepal telah dilanda gempa bumi pada
25 April dan 12 May 2015. Gambar di atas menunjukkan tapak warisan UNESCO
yang bernama Durbar Square sebelum gempa bumi berlaku. Banyak
bangunan yang runtuh dan ramai yang terkorban dalam bencana
tersebut.
