Com Tam

Com Tam is meat (such as pork chop, grilled poultry and/or seafood) that has steamed broken rice served under it. The broken rice gives this Vietnamese dish a more intense taste, compared to the more commonly eaten steamed (whole) rice. Other side dishes of Com Tam may include, among others, green onions, steamed egg with pork, fried egg (sunny side up), shredded fried pork skin, cucumber and pickled radish and carrots. The dipping sauce "nuoc cham" frequently accompanies Com Tam.
