            Note: the phrase "to
                  curry
                  favor/favour" bears the meaning of "to try to advance
                oneself through the act of flattering (pleasing by showering
                  compliments)".  
       
            Curry is the name given to a sauced dish cooked with red and/or
            green chillies, leaves of the curry tree, curry powder and spices.
            Curries can be dishes of meat, vegetables or a combination of both
            (meat and vegetables). Curry is usually eaten with rice. Curry
            noodles (such as the one shown below) is a standalone dish that is
            normally eaten without the accompaniment of rice. Among the countries known for
            their curries include - but are not limited to - India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia,
          Thailand,
          Indonesia,
          Vietnam
            and Japan.
